The Heart of Texas Grill, better known in San Augustine as The HOT Grill, is a great restaurant in our little town! It is not open on Sunday or Monday; but the rest of the week, it is a happening place. San Augustine Main Street district is lucky to have a great place like this!
When people stay at Bland Lake Hideaway, the best place to stay in San Augustine, Texas, it is one of our favorite places to send our guests. I know that when my guests go to the HOT Grill, they are going to be treated like family. The owner, Mark Liepman, is a very good guy, and he has owned and operated restaurants all over East Texas.
My favorite thing on the menu might sound strange, but it could be your new favorite! Try the sweet potato fries with a side of the white queso.
When you visit, make sure you say hi to Mikey, the head cook. He is a unique individual who has a great talent for restaurants.
