Fishing while you stay at the RV Park

The John Fisher family owns Bland Lake,. The owners will allow you to fish with permission from them. They usually charge a fee per day. If you would like to book a day pass to fish in the lake call Joe for details. (936)275-5177.

Bland Lake has a wonderful history for the area. The train would stop and pick up riders that wanted to go to town for the day. They called the area “Stop”, Texas. There was a flour mill, with a recreation building that was out over the lake. It was a favorite swimming hole. There was a general store and a thriving small community. Now, Bland Lake Hideaway is just a quiet place to relax.
